Mikaela Jade does her artistry for Raven Software, a Wisconsin based game developer and division of Activision/Blizzard. Her artistry presents itself in the form of UI(user interface) design. What the player sees in order to interact with the game is only part of what she does. Menus and displays are functional, but how those are portrayed in both a pleasing and functional way is where Mikaela Jade’s talent can shine. Time crunches and creative freedom are both on display at Raven Software, and as the newly announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 release date creeps closer, Mikaela explains that work has already begun.
