In a game of missed opportunities for the home side, Saint Louis FC battled Vancouver Whitecaps 2 to a 1-1 draw at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in the rescheduled game from April 30.
In the first half Saint Louis FC received three yellow cards while WFC2 scored in the 23rd minute and held the 1-0 lead into the second half.
Jamiel Hardware found the equalizer for STLFC in the 59th minute after his shot was deflected in the box, he collected his own rebound, and fired it past the Vancouver goalkeeper.
“We were frustrated and wanted to score and I was thankful my goal went in and it helped the confidence of the team in the second half.” said Hardware.
Saint Louis kept the pressure on Vancouver in the second half with a number of good opportunities, but was never able to find the game winning goal.
