CarShield Field to Host Professional Soccer Friendly Match

Professional soccer is coming to CarShield Field for the first time on May 12, 2024 when St. Charles FC plays host to the St. Louis Stars. Gates will open at 2:00 p.m. for the 3:00 p.m. kickoff.

“We are constantly looking for new events to bring into the facility and soccer is one that has always been in our minds as something to bring in if an opportunity presents itself,” Hoots General Manager David Schmoll said. “We are incredibly excited to partner with another St. Charles sports team to make this happen and cannot wait to celebrate soccer in St. Charles County.”

The friendly between St. Charles FC and the St. Louis Stars is slated for Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at CarShield Field. Tickets are $10 and are available through the O’Fallon Hoots box office and ofallonhoots.com/soccer. All-Inclusive Leinenkugel Picnic Perch tickets are available for $30 per person and 20-person suites are available for $120.

St. Charles FC plays in the USL-2 and plays their home games at Lutheran High School of St. Charles County. The team started play in 2023 and finished their first season fourth in their division with a 6-6-0 mark.
