Saint Louis FC will be playing a preseason friendly against Oklahoma City Energy on Sunday, March 13 in Springfield, Missouri. The contest is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Lake Country Soccer Complex. There is no charge for admission.
“We are excited for the opportunity to play OKC Energy on Sunday.” said General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh. “It’s an opportunity to measure ourselves against a quality USL opponent ahead of the opener on the 26th. We also appreciate and thank the Lake Country Soccer Complex for hosting the match.”
Saint Louis FC and the Energy are scheduled to square off four times in 2016. The first regular season contest will take place Saturday, April 9 in Oklahoma City at 7:00 p.m. The sides met twice last season which resulted in a 2-1 win for STLFC in Oklahoma and a scoreless draw in St. Louis.
In addition to the Oklahoma City Energy friendly on March 13, STLFC will also meet Indy Eleven in Evansville, Indiana on Wednesday, March 16 and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Saturday, March 19 in Edwardsville, Illinois to conclude the preseason schedule.
