United Soccer League released the 2016 schedule, and as expected after the recent floods Saint Louis FC will begin the campaign on the road in order to maximize time for repairs to the Worldwide Technology Soccer Park.

After a preseason trip to Charleston South Carolina, the season will start in earnest as Saint Louis travel to Salt Lake City to play Real Monarchs on March 26th  and then follow up with a trip to Los Angeles to play USL runner up Galaxy II on March 30th.

The first game fans will be logistically able to drive to will be at Oklahoma City Energy on April 9th.

The eagerly awaited home opener will see the Tulsa Roughnecks visit Fenton on April 16th.

The Saint Louis FC season will comprise of new adventures as the team has been moved into the western conference. Gone are the trips to Harrisburg and Rochester from 2015 however the “Kings Cup” rivalry with Louisville will remain as a home and away series as well as a match up against new expansion team FC Cincinnati.

There will be 15 home games in the regular season as well as potential US Open Cup games.

In 2015 Saint Louis struggled in the eastern conference with an 8-11-9 record and fell short of the playoff spots. However faired well against western conference teams last year going 2-1-1 in the four games played against Oklahoma City Energy, Tulsa Roughnecks and [Colorado Springs] Switchbacks FC.
