Local talent added to Saint Louis FC roster

Saint Louis FC announced the addition of three more signings on Friday. All have St Louis ties.

In preparing for the global game, the club have delved into the global marketplace to bring many players into the fold, from Internationals like Jeremie Lynch and James Musa to NCAA national champion Jacob Bashue, it is closer to home that Dale Schilly has looked to add strength in depth for the initial season.

Mike Roach was a standout in his college career splitting years between Indiana and SLU. He scored 28 goals for the Billikens. He is a Scott Gallagher youth product who was drafted by the New England Revolution in 2012, however he failed to make an impact and only started one game.

Chad Vandegriffe is another Saint Louis Scott Gallagher product who split his college years between Southern Methodist and SLU. Vandegriffe graduated from Chaminade where he won the state class 3 championship. He currently plays indoor league for the St. Louis Ambush.

Jack Mathis is a De Smet graduate who won state class 5A championship during his tenure. He moved to Drury University and started all 74 games while a Panther. He scored 17 goals and made 16 assists in his college career that saw him earn a First Team All-NSCAA Midwest Region selection.
