“Mission: Impossible-Fallout”, is the 6th film in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise and I am a big fan of these films, so I was really looking forward to this film. I am really happy to say that this film exceeded my expectations, this film is just flat out incredible.
First lets talk about the cast, all the returning cast, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, and Sean Harris all do fantastic here. Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby do great as well. The two best performance’s though of course come from our two main leads, Henry Cavill, and the great Tom Cruise, Tom Cruise is just phenomenal in this film and him and Henry Cavill work really well together here.
Now, we can’t talk about this film and not talk about the action. This film is non-stop action, as soon as you think it slows down it picks itself right back up. This is easily the best action film of the year and the best action film since “Mad Max: Fury Road” in 2015 and honestly I think I enjoy this one more.
The stunts are crazy, there is an insane Halo Jump sequence, a helicopter chase, and an amazing bike chase through Paris and it’s even more insane that Tom Cruise is doing it all himself. The cinematography here was gorgeous and the score by Lorne Balfe is amazing, I really want to add to my collection.
In the end, it is insane how good this film truly is, this is the best film of the summer and I cannot wait to see it again. Please go and see this film as soon as you can in IMAX, support this film, films like this is why we go to the movies, and this is what blockbusters should be.
