The St. Louis Ambush (5-9-1) host the Dallas Sidekicks (0-12-2) on President’s Day, Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1:05 p.m. CST at The Family Arena.
Monday’s contest is the only game between the Ambush and Sidekicks slated for the 2022-23 regular season. The two teams met five times last season, with Dallas winning the series 3-2.
The Ambush are coming off a 6-5 loss on the road to the Milwaukee Wave Friday night. They have lost four of their last five games. The Sidekicks lost 7-4 to the San Diego Sockers at home on Thursday and are still seeking their first win of the season.
Players to watch for St. Louis include Will Eskay, who has three goals and three assists in his last three games and leads the team in both points (16) and goals (11). Jamie Lovegrove has been hot for Dallas, with three goals and two assists in his last three games. He leads the Sidekicks in points (14), while Alberto Rodriguez leads the team in goals (12).
Ahead of Monday’s game, the Ambush added rookie forward Dom Alvarado to the roster. Alvarado is a native of Kansas City, Kansas and previously played with Barilleros FC in the PASL and UPSL.
Following Monday’s match, the Ambush will be back in action next Sunday, February 26, when they host the Chihuahua Savage at 3:05 p.m. CST at The Family Arena. All Ambush games are available for webcast at twitch.com.
