After a week off, the St. Louis Ambush have a busy weekend ahead of them, playing on the road and at home in games starting less than 24 hours apart. On Saturday, December 10, the Ambush visit the Milwaukee Wave at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena for a 6:05 p.m. CST contest. On Sunday, December 11, the Ambush host the Baltimore Blast at The Family Arena at 4:05 p.m. CST.
The Ambush kicked off the 2022-23 season by splitting the opening weekend series with the Kansas City Comets on November 25 and 26.
Saturday’s duel is the first of six games between the Ambush and Wave slated for the 2022-23 regular season. The two teams met five times last season, with the Ambush prevailing 3-2 in the season series.
Sunday’s match against the Blast is the only time St. Louis and Baltimore will square off this season and is the first meeting between the two teams since December 2, 2017.
Ahead of this weekend’s action, the Ambush added two players to their roster. Zachary Druhe is a 25-year-old defender who played collegiate soccer at East Central Community College and University of Missouri at St. Louis. Brian Bement is a 29-year-old forward who played collegiate soccer at Loyola University. Both players are local products, with Druhe hailing from nearby Granite City, Illinois, while Bement is a native of Waterloo, Illinois. In another roster move this week, the Major Arena Soccer League issued an indefinite suspension to Jeff Michaud for breach of contract.
After this weekend’s games, the Ambush will next see action on Saturday, December 17 when they visit the cross-state rival Kansas City Comets at 6:05 p.m. CST at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri. All Ambush games are available for webcast at twitch.com.
Tickets for all Ambush home games are available from the Family Arena box office and ticketmaster.com. For season or group tickets, call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363.
