Country Rock n’ Roll band Giovannie and the Hired Guns is returning to Missouri just over two weeks after playing at Lake Wappapello to blow the doors off of Off Broadway this Wednesday night – and I can’t wait.
I was in attendance for their show on July 09th at The Camp at Lake Wappapello; even for a diehard fan with sky-high expectations I was more than surprised by the energy, chemistry, and sheer enjoyment brought to the stage and the disconnect between their studio recordings and live performances was nonexistent – it takes a special talent to sound as good live as you do on your album. Thanks to the venue and those involved I was able to experience the show from an all-access backstage point of view and that made for a memory I would never forget. Check out my recollection of that show here:
Just a week and some hours after that concert, Giovannie and the Hired Guns' current radio single Ramon Ayala surpassed songs by the likes of Papa Roach, Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Black Keys, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, and Ozzy Osbourne to become their first #1 hit and has the band positioned to make a lot of waves in the rock n' roll world with the impending release of their third studio album, Tejano Punk Boys, due to the public any day now and sure to propel the hottest new band in the game to levels of success that they've only dreamed of before. in
I had the pleasure of hosting Giovannie Yanez himself on an episode of my podcast a few weeks ago and we discussed the new album in great detail, as well as his musical influences, growing up in the budding Texas music scene, and much more - I'd love for you to give it a listen here:
If you haven't already please get your tickets while there are still any remaining because this is a show that I promise you do not want to miss. There's absolutely nothing better to do in all of St. Louis this Wednesday and I would love to see y'all there! #ArchCityMusic
