Two former radio personalities and news producers from KMOV Channel 4 in St. Louis have teamed up to bring a new spin on some of the most newsworthy, relevant, and trending topics around the globe. Expect unbiased, fact-based discussion with an occasional comedic element included.
Danya Artimisi (Former St. Louis on-air personality) and Patrick Quinn (Former writer/web producer at 101 ESPN) produced your morning and evening news at KMOV. Life after television production and radio broadcasting has reunited this duo to launch a new podcast titled Topic Thunder.
Each week will have a featured guest, so look for familiar faces on the show and hear them weigh in on the topic of the day.
The podcast will be available on the free Anchor app (available in your app store), as well as other avenues to be determined. You can also watch the episode on Facebook and YouTube. Trust us, we’ll keep you posted on that.
The show will be filmed and recorded at Gaslight Studio and Lounge in St. Louis and will launch one show per week.
Danya has 22 years of experience in the media industry. She’s worked as an on-air personality at several local stations; most recent having been KSHE 95 and 105.7 The Point. She hosted her own podcast, RadioDanya, featuring and promoting local musicians. From 2015-2017 she was a field and news producer, as well as an assignment editor at KMOV. Today, she is a school social worker by day, has a photography business, and is managing editor/writer/photographer for Arch City Media and The Spectatour.
Patrick is a broadcaster and a journalist at heart. He produced local newscasts for 18 years and was an on-air radio personality for 7 years. Today, he teaches journalists from all over the country how to use video editing software. If his voice sounds familiar to you, he also does commercial voiceovers.
We’re super excited to see one of our very own hosting this show alongside a seasoned veteran with whom the on-air chemistry and cohesion is built in.
If you ever have a topic that you would like to have discussed on a show, email producer Mick Lite, at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you.
