Disney Won’t Stop….Another Star Wars Film in Development

by Nick Stucker

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: Disney just won’t stop the train when it comes to dishing out more and more Star Wars content. Since its acquisition from the Father of Star Wars, George Lucas, back in 2013, Disney has released a Star Wars film or series year after year, starting with Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Now, it was announced this week that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is working with longtime LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy in developing an Untitled Star Wars film in the coming years.

But when will this be? It’s hard to tell really because already Feige has his hands full with the Phase 4 of Marvel films, and not to mention that there are Star Wars films, and live action series’, set be released between now and up to 2026. So for right now, it is only speculation as always what this new Star Wars film could be. So for the time being, we’ll just focus on what’s coming in the next couple years.

The most recent Star Wars project to be released is Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker for December 2019. And we can only hope that J.J. Abrams delivers properly the final conclusion to the Star Wars sagas.
