“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” Movie Review

by Mitchel Garcia

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is the newest film in the Jurassic franchise, and before seeing this film, I heard alot of negative things, but I went into this film with an open mind like I usually do and I had alot of fun with this film. I was one of the people that actually enjoyed the first “Jurassic World”, so I was excited for this one, and is this film a little ridiculous, yes, but in my opinion it’s alot of fun and honestly I had more fun watching this one than I did with the first one.

The cast did pretty good overall. Chris Pratt did good as usual, I thought Bryce Dallas Howard did better in this film than she did in the first, and I thought the two new actors Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda did a decent job as well.

I really thought the cinematography was also better this time around and this film was better shot than the first, I really liked the color palatte of this film as well, and Michael Giachhino’s score was really nice too, it had a horror film sound to it at times and I really enjoyed that.

My main problems are that, I think it does get slow at some points and the film drags on a little to long, there are some twists in the film, but I didn’t think they were really all that surprising and one in particular I thought was a bit silly, and I personally think they wasted Jeff Goldblum in this film, it was really great to see him in another Jurassic film, but he is not in it that much at all.

In the end, I really did have fun with this film even though it is not perfect, I would definitely see it again and I would say definitely check it out, but at a matinee price and see it in IMAX if you can.
