Saint Louis University outfielder Parker Sniatynski was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after leading the Billikens with six extra base hits over the course of the four-game opening weekend in Florida.
The senior from Brookfield, Wis., recorded four doubles in his first two games, including three against Pitt, which was a career-high. Later in the weekend he chipped-in a home run and a triple, just a single away from the weekend cycle.
Sniatynski hit .375 on the week with a slugging percentage of .938. He also drove in five runs and gave the Billikens a lead in the final game of the weekend in a four-run outburst with his two-run home run.
Though the Billikens ended 1-3 on the road swing, it was Sniatynski’s three-double performance that was key to the victory over the Panthers on Saturday in game one.
