by St. Louis Ambush

The 2017-18 St. Louis Ambush season is the 30th in the storied history of professional indoor soccer in St. Louis and the Ambush are recognizing the players and teams who built that history with an alumni game, slated for Saturday, February 10, as part of their 30th Season Celebration.

The current Ambush will face the Central Division rival Cedar Rapids Rampage in MASL action at 7:05 p.m. CT on February 10, with the Alumni Game set for 5:00 p.m. The Alumni Game will consist of two 25-minute halves with a continuous clock. Fans get a two-for-one deal as each ticket for the February 10 Ambush-Rampage game is also good for the Alumni Game.

The Alumni Game will feature players from previous St. Louis Steamers, Storm and Ambush teams facing an All-Star Alumni Team of former MISL and NPSL players. Some of the players who will participate include Fernando Clavijo, Shaun David, Jeff Davis, Daryl Doran, David Doyle, Don Droege, Kevin Handlan, John Hayes, Zoran Karic, Hector Marinaro, Ty Keough, Michael King, Mike LaPosha, Alan Mayer, Mark Moser, DJ Newsom, Dan O’Keefe, Otto Orf, Steve Pecher, Joe Reiniger, Kim Roentved, Carl Rose, Jim Schwab, Scoop Stanisic, Tatu, Paul Turin, Tim Walters, and many more. The complete rosters for both teams will be announced once all players have committed to appear. Due to individual schedules, players are subject to change.

Following the Ambush-Rampage game, alumni players will join current Ambush players on the field for an autograph session for all fans. A limited-edition 30th Season tee shirt will be available for purchase at the Ambush merchandise stand on the concourse.

As a special giveaway, the first 2,000 fans will receive a complete set of original MISL Trading Cards, donated by legendary Cleveland Crunch Goalkeeper Otto Orf. Each set includes 110 cards. Orf played for Cleveland in both the MISL and NPSL and helped guide the Crunch to three NPSL Championships in the 1990’s, two of them against the Ambush (1994 and 1999).

The Ambush are in action twice this weekend when they host the Syracuse Silver Knights Friday, January 19 at 7:35 p.m. CT and Sunday, January 21 at 3:05 p.m. CT at the Family Arena.
