DC and Warner Bros. truly are not holding back in terms of adapting any and every DC material they can get their hands on. And while much of the DC Extended Universe films have been mostly busts, there have been a few saving graces such as Wonder Woman and, yes, even Justice League.
When it was announced that a live action Teen Titans series was being produced, well, we can’t say we were floored by the announcement, but it was a little bit of a shocker. However in all honesty, the concept art and pictures of the cast members in their costumes do make us hopeful that Teen Titans will be another saving grace for the DC and Warner Bros. collaboration, which is hashing out adaptation films/series like candy in coming years. The latter is not really a compliment seeing their track record so far.
Brenton Thwaites, who is a rising actor in the film and television industry, is widely known for playing major roles in Oculus, Maleficant, Gods of Egypt (opposite of Gerard Butler) and even as Will Turner’s son, Henry Turner, in the recent Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Well now we have our first official look of him as Dick Grayson/Robin in of the upcoming live action Teen Titans series. From the picture we have, he looks pretty badass in the Boy Wonder costume.
According to sources and material, which isn’t very much, the series will tell of the origins of Teen Titans and how Robin creates the team and rounds up fellow members Raven, Starfire and others.
Officially named Titans, the series is set to debut on an unnamed DC Comics Digital Service in 2018.
