The St. Louis Ambush have added veteran midfielder Nestor Hernandez to their roster for the 2017-18 season. Per league and team policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Hernandez began his professional indoor soccer career in 2012 with the Chicago Mustangs (PASL). He has also played with the Las Vegas Legends (MASL) and three seasons, including last season, with the Dallas Sidekicks (PASL/MASL).
Prior to joining the Ambush, Hernandez appeared in 94 career games and tallied 135 points (94 goals and 41 assists). Nestor has played both forward and midfield during his career.
Hernandez is a native of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was a standout collegiate player at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois and played high school soccer at J. Sterling Morton High School West in Berwyn, Illinois.
The Ambush open their 2017-18 schedule on the road when they face the Kansas City Comets on November 4. The Ambush kick off the home portion of the new season when they host the Milwaukee Wave on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 7:05 p.m. CT at the Family Arena. The 2017-18 season will be the fifth for the franchise, who has called the Family Arena home since 2013. November 11 is also Veterans Day, and the Ambush will recognize our Veterans during the game.
