St. Louis Ambush Sign Kranz & Sliwa

by St. Louis Ambush

Midfielder Greg Kranz will return to the St. Louis Ambush and goalkeeper Piotr Sliwa will join the team, General Manager Andrew Haines announced today. Both players were signed to two-year deals.

The 2015-16 season will be the second with the Ambush for Kranz, who tallied three goals and five assists in ten games played with the team last season. Kranz is a native St. Louisan who played youth soccer with the Scott Gallagher Soccer Club and varsity soccer at CBC High School. He began his collegiate career at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, where he served as team captain two years. He was then recruited by Missouri Baptist University, where he started in 35 of his 36 appearances. Kranz played with the St. Louis Lions (PDL) for three seasons and played for the Illinois Piasa (PASL) during the 2013-14 season.

Sliwa appeared in 15 regular season games for the Seattle Impact and Ontario Fury last season. He also turned in a stellar performance in his one playoff contest with the Fury, a heartbreaking 6-5 loss to the Las Vegas Legends on March 1. The Debica, Poland native moved to the United States when he was 10 years old. He was active in club, high school and collegiate soccer. While at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, Sliwa was a four-year starter, earning all-conference honors all four years and was an all-American selection his senior year.

Season tickets are now on sale and start at just $100. Single-game tickets will go on sale in October. Call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363 for more information.
