HEY ST. LOUIS — MEET ME AT THE PAGEANT:

A REASON TO BE THANKFUL THIS NOVEMBER – ST. LOUIS’ OWN BETH BOMBARA AND BAND TO APPEAR LIVE AT THE VENUE ON 11/20/20 FOR THE GLIMMER OF NORMALCY SERIES

On her most recent full length album Evergreen, St. Louis musician Beth Bombara asked for some “Good News” as one of her songs on that collection.  With a year as challenging as 2020, it was high time for the acclaimed artist to get some and it has arrived with a headline date at The Pageant.  Yes, you read correctly – a live full band performance.  It’s time for Bombara and co. to bring back a “Glimmer Of Normalcy” to the esteemed venue on November 20th.

With no signs of COVID-19 slowing down, music venues and local artists have been adapting to bring live music to eager fans. “I know everyone wants things to go back to normal, but who knows when that will be?  We’re all just doing the best that we can under these extremely difficult circumstances,” says Bombara. It’s a rare opportunity to see an intimate show in a world class venue. The venue capacity is 2400 but only 300 tickets will be sold for the show on November 20th.  Due to a cancelled tour schedule, Bombara started a live stream concert series every Monday night. “It been a nice way to connect with people, but it’s not the same as in person. I really can’t wait to be on a stage again.”

The Pageant has opened its doors under strict safety protocols, including an extremely reduced capacity, socially distanced seating and mask requirements, and an HVAC system that completely cycles fresh air into the building 6 times per hour.

Bombara’s 2019 album Evergreen received wide media acclaim from national outlets including Parade (“In true rock style peppered with Americana influences, Beth Bombara’s new track, “Upside Down,” opens with twangy guitars, a hard hitting drum beat and Bombara’s heart-to-heart vocals. Featuring Bombara’s honeyed voice with a catchy, familiar feel, the song appears on her…album, Evergreen.”  ) and American Songwriter (“…Evergreen finds a freshly invigorated Beth Bombara fronting a tight, taut band and performing her songs with the fortitude of an artist coming into her own after years touring the endless highway.   Don’t let this one pass you by.” )  Regional media was impressed as well, with the LA Weekly citing that “Sometimes the voice gets you hooked in from the very first note. That’s the case with Missouri-based singer/songwriter Beth Bombara, who appears to have spent the entirety of her adult life roaming from place to place, soaking up experiences and then pipelining them directly to her larynx, after which they emerge in the form of gorgeous roots-rock tunes…Throughout, Bombara’s voice shines”  and the Kansas City Star asserting that “Beth Bombara has earned a reputation as one of the finest singer-songwriters in St. Louis. The surprising strength of her new release, “Evergreen,” deserves to propel her from local hero into an Americana artist with an international following. “
