It started off back in 2014 when the first John Wick hit theaters. It took us all by surprise. With little advertising and campaigning, when John Wick hit theaters, it was an immediate hit and gained a fanbase almost overnight. Now, with John Wick Chapter 3 out, and leaving the future open for a fourth chapter, it’s no surprise that the studios want to further monetize on the series.
Recently announced, with Len Wiseman set to helm the spinoff and Keanu Reeves attached to help produce it, Ballerina revolves around a young female assassin seeking revenge for the death of her family. Other than that little tidbit, there is very little that has been revealed. And while John Wick 4 is set to release in two years time, the Starz prequel series The Continental is set to start production as well, thus expanding the John Wick universe even more.
For now, we can just continue to binge watch the last three John Wick films. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is out now on video.
