Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Back Together For ‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’

by Mick Lite

Wyld Stallyns! Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are returning as best friends Ted Logan and Bill Preston. As of right now the only other cast member listed is William Sadler (Shawshank Redemption, Iron Man 3/Agents of Shield) who played the Grim Reaper in ‘Bogus Journey’ back in 1991. George Carlin, who played Rufus, passed away in 2008.

We have heard rumors for years of a Bill & Ted threequel, with a script being worked on as far back as 2010, but now it has apparently been greenlit and in pre-production!

In 2017, Keanu Reeves said that the film had been written and the story would see the duo “supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven’t done that. The pressure of having to save the world, their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them, and then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe.”

When we last met Bill and Ted they were time-traveling teenagers trying to pass history class and win the battle of the bands. Once prophesized to save the universe with their rock and roll, middle age and the responsibilities of family have caught up with these two best friends who have not yet fulfilled their destiny. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, Bill and Ted find much, much more than just a song.

Are you excited to see this movie? or too young to know who Bill and Ted are?
