The Missouri Mavericks announced today that they have received goaltender Eamon (A-mon) McAdam from the New York Islanders on reassignment from the American Hockey League’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
McAdam, 22, was reassigned to Bridgeport on November 16 after beginning his rookie season with the Mavericks. While with Missouri he posted a 2-3-0 record and was leading the team with a 2.88 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. He is 2-0-0 in his last three appearances for the Mavericks from October 28 to November 15, which includes relief work on November 12 vs. Fort Wayne.
McAdam, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound rookie out of Penn State, made a splash with the Sound Tigers following his call up. From November 19 to December 10 he won seven consecutive starts for Bridgeport with a 2.22 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage. He is 7-2-0 overall with the Sound Tigers this season, and his seven wins are tied for fifth most among AHL rookies.
McAdam was selected in the third round (#70 overall) by the Islanders in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
