The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game road trip with a 3-1 win at the Gwinnett Stripers on Thursday night at Coolray Field.
Starting pitcher Gordon Graceffo (2-2) tied his Triple-A career high with eight strikeouts on Thursday night. In the win, the right-handed pitcher allowed one run on four hits and three walks in 6.0 innings of work. Graceffo has now struck out 15 batters and allowed one run in his last two starts. John King (S, 2) recorded the final four outs in perfect relief.
The Memphis bats used the big inning yet again. In the top of the fifth, the Redbirds scored three runs on four hits to take the lead. With two runners in scoring position, second baseman Thomas Saggese smacked a double to plate the pair. Saggese finished the night 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored.

Memphis tallied 11 hits on the night, including hits from seven of the nine in the starting lineup. Eight of the nine Redbirds batters reached base safely in the game.
The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park to begin a six-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins) on Tuesday, April 23 with first pitch for 6:45 p.m. CDT.
