MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds continued a 12-game homestand with a 17-5 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at AutoZone Park on Tuesday night.

Catcher Ivan Herrera started and enormous rally with a bases-clearing double in the third inning. Memphis went on to score nine runs on five hits in the frame to jump out to a 9-0 lead. Herrera finished the night 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a walk and four RBI.

First baseman Luken Baker clubbed his 26th home run of the season and drove in a pair of runs to give him 79 on the season. Center fielder Richie Palacios posted a 3-for-5 night with five RBI, two doubles, a walk and two runs scored.

Casey Lawrence earned his first win as a Redbird with his Tuesday night performance. The right-handed pitcher allowed three runs on six hits, walked none and struck out five in 5.1 innings pitched. Reliever Ryan Loutos added 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball and struck out four batters.

The Redbirds (53-50) return to AutoZone Park on Wednesday, August 2 to continue a 12-game homestand at 7:05p.m. CDT against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
