St. Louis SLAM Reveals 2023 Football Schedule

by Brian Ledford

The tentative schedule for the St. Louis SLAM’s upcoming season was put into play as the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) revealed their entire 2023 league docket earlier this week.

The four-time national champs of women’s tackle football returns to local play in April and the ensuing line-up has three home games in their six-game regular season set.

The SLAM’s season opener takes place Saturday, April 22 against the Minnesota Vixen, a WFA Pro Division Championship finalist last season, at St. Mary’s High School in St. Louis.

Three road games follow as the SLAM travels to Derby City (Louisville, KY), Columbus (OH) and the aforementioned Vixen.

A pair of June home games round out the regular season as the SLAM hosts the Dallas Elite Mustangs on June 3 followed by a local finale against Derby City June 10.

Within the WFA Pro Division last season, the SLAM finished 4-2 but was edged out of post-season play.

The squad competes in the eight-team WFA Pro American Division this season.

The franchise, founded in 2002, contains numerous championship ring-wearing veterans as well as promising newcomers that will make them a force to be reckoned with on the gridiron.

Season tickets will go on-sale shortly.
