Saint Louis University and Bally Sports Midwest announced today that at least 11 Billiken men’s basketball games will be carried on the network during the 2022-23 season. There is the potential for additional road games to be added to the package.
Dan McLaughlin, who for 24 seasons has called St. Louis Cardinals games for Bally Sports Midwest, will serve as the primary television play-by-play voice for a seventh year in a row. Billiken Hall of Famer Scott Highmark returns as the analyst.
The agreement with Bally Sports Midwest was reached on behalf of SLU by its athletics multimedia rightsholder, Learfield IMG College’s Billikens Sports Properties.
“Bally Sports Midwest has been a great partner to us for many years and we are excited that they are back televising Billiken basketball,” SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. “Jack Donovan and his team have been instrumental in helping deliver a quality production for Billikens fans, and we look forward to working with them this year to showcase what should be an exciting season of hoops in our city. Dan McLaughlin and Scott Highmark are two of the best of what they do, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that they will be back behind the mic.”
All games airing on Bally Sports Midwest will also be streamed on the Bally Sports app and available on the new Bally Sports+ streaming service. They’ll also be simulcast on ESPN+ through the Atlantic 10 Conference’s ESPN+ agreement.
