St. Louis Bandits Aim To Keep Home Record Perfect Saturday

by Brian Ledford

The high-scoring action of St. Louis Bandits indoor football returns to Family Arena Saturday night.

The Bandits (1-1) host the Dallas Prime at 7:05 p.m. and plan to keep their home record unblemished.

Last Saturday, St. Louis suffered a 72-33 road setback to the undefeated Charlotte Thunder in American Arena League (AAL) sanctioned play that dropped the team’s overall record to .500 after two games.

Home cooking may be the remedy Saturday as the Bandits return to the St. Charles surface that paved the way for an impressive 61-30 home opening win over Central Illinois two Saturdays ago (RECAP).

Quarterback Donovan Porterie, running back Antonio Bray and wide receivers Dee Washington and Cole McDaniel pace the offensive attack while defensive backs Dominique Patterson, Treavor Pugh and Kelvin Rodgers alongside a host of others propel the defense.

Dallas is a member of the Fast 8 Football League and has won multiple national 8-man championships so the pace should be furious.

Saturday marks the second of four Bandits contests at Family Arena within the team’s seven-game inaugural campaign.

Tickets are $11-$33 while active military (w/ID) can get lower bowl general admission tickets for as low as $8.
