St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have signed free agent forward Kyle Clifford to a two-year contract with an annual average value of $1 million.
Clifford, 29, finished the 2019-20 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs after being traded by the Los Angeles Kings on Feb. 5. With the Leafs, he scored one goal and two assists in 16 games while adding 23 penalty minutes.
Prior to the trade, Clifford was in his 10th season in Los Angeles, where he played 660 National Hockey League games for the Kings.
In his NHL career, Clifford has 132 points (61 goals, 71 assists) and 842 penalty minutes in 676 games. Clifford was originally drafted in the second round of the 2009 NHL Draft by the Kings.
A two-time Stanley Cup Champion, he has played in 60 career playoff games while recording 15 points (4 goals, 11 assists) and 62 minutes in penalties.
