Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo was placed on injured reserve after sustaining a right knee injury in the Blues’ 4-1 win against Minnesota on Saturday.
Pietrangelo will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
The Blues defenseman was injured following a knee-on-knee collision with Minnesota’s Charlie Coyle with 7:20 remaining in the third period. Pietrangelo was attended to on the ice but skated off on his own power.
Through 55 games this season, the 26-year-old blue liner has posted 23 points (three goals, 20 assists). Pietrangelo ranks fourth in the NHL in average ice time (26:40).
