The Games People Play, Even on a PC: Bigfishgames.com

by Laurie Beakley

Let me preface by saying I’m not a gamer in the sense that most people would think. I don’t play games on a Playstation or an xbox or any of the countless other platforms that may be at hand today. I play on my laptop & they’re games from a site called Bigfish.com. Yep, I’m THAT old school! Funny thing is, I’m obviously not the only one gaming here because I’ve been playing games on this site for close to 13 years. In fact, the very first game I bought here was Grimm’s Hatchery on August 14th, 2007.

Big Fish Games has grown a lot since then. You can buy more than PC games now. You can buy games for your Mac, Android, iPad, iPhone and some games can even be played completely FREE online. They have their own Big Fish Game Club for frequent game buyers so you can save money, too. Before you ask, I’m not a current member but yes, I was in the past. I am thinking about joining again.

What kind of games do you like? Common question, I know. There are games of all types here & games for all ages. There is also a new release every day. No lie, 365 brand new games every year. When you glance at the list of genres you might think they seem a bit juvenile because there are hidden object, match 3 & marble popper games but I promise you that some of these will make you want to pull your hair out! I’ve done battle with some of these myself & the hidden object game Redemption Cemetery: The Cursed Mark, for example, is not your typical game. This has a storyline so you have more to do than just finding things. Big Fish Games also let you try their games free for an hour before you decide if you want to buy them or so you have nothing to lose.

Now you know my dirty little secret. On Friday nights, when most people are out on dates, I’m sitting in front of my computer combing through bigfishgames.com downloading time management games or checking out some new hidden object series. Either way, I’ve been “fishing” this site for nearly 13 years & it keeps getting better. If you find it half as much fun as I have then I’ll be happy.
