After a one-season layoff, the St. Louis SLAM is ready to return to the gridiron.
The 2016 & 2017 Tier II Champions of the Women’s Football Alliance announced earlier this Fall that they would resume operation and be a part of the 2019 WFA complexion.
The reveal of the League’s full schedule this past weekend solidified that projection.
The SLAM’s eight-game regular season begins April 6, 2019 with a road game against Arkansas Wildcats.
Then one week later, St. Louis begins its home campaign with a meeting against cross-state rival KC Titans. Following a bye week, the SLAM continues their local schedule with a late-April meeting with Derby Dynamite.
Following a pair of road trips, the SLAM continues home play Memorial Day weekend against Minnesota. The regular season ends with a June 8 home game against Indy Crash.
The franchise held tryouts for both returning and new players earlier this Fall and one can assume that they cannot wait to resume their top-notch play that made them one of the premiere teams in the WFA in 2016 and 2017.
Information on location of home games and ticket prices will be revealed shortly.
