Buck and Caray. Back again. Take two.

Chip Caray and Joe Buck will call the St. Louis Cardinals game against the Texas Rangers on Monday, July 29, on Bally Sports Midwest. Pregame coverage starts at 6 p.m. CT, with first pitch at 6:45 p.m. CT.

Caray and Buck were originally scheduled to call the Cubs-Cardinals game on Friday, May 24 but the game was postponed due to weather. Bally Sports Midwest aired the Cardinals LIVE pregame show and the two iconic play-by-play announcers shared family stories during the rain delay to start the telecast before the game was eventually postponed.

Caray, the third generation Major League play-by-play announcer, is in his second season as the television voice of the Cardinals. Buck, who called the memorable 2011 World Series between the Rangers and Cardinals on FOX, is currently the play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football on ESPN. He will call his first local Cardinals telecast since 2007, filling in for Brad Thompson and Jim Edmonds on July 29.

Caray and Buck follow in the Cardinals footsteps of Chip’s grandfather, Harry Caray, and Joe’s dad, Jack Buck, as the Cardinals and Cubs renew their rivalry in 2024. Jack and Harry called Cardinals games together on KMOX Radio from 1954-59 and 1961-69.
