CARDINALS ANNOUNCE 2024 REGULAR SEASON TV & RADIO BROADCAST SCHEDULE

by St. Louis Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals today announced that every 2024 regular season game will be televised locally or nationally as well as broadcast on KMOX and the Cardinals Radio Network.  Additionally, all 81 home games will feature live Spanish radio broadcasts.

Television

Bally Sports Midwest will be the television home of the Cardinals for the 31st season.  The regional sports network is scheduled to televise 152 Cardinals regular season games.  Coverage starts and ends with the Cardinals Live pre- and postgame shows, live from the network’s studio in Ballpark Village.  Chip Caray returns for his second season as the play-by-play voice of Cardinals television broadcasts and will be joined by World Series champion Brad Thompson and Cardinals Hall of Famer Jim Edmonds as analysts to call game action.  KMOX Sports Director & Anchor Tom Ackerman, who made his Cardinals television debut last season, will handle play-by-play duties for select games.

Jim Hayes, Scott Warmann and Alexa Datt, will serve as reporters and hosts. Former Cardinals pitchers Al Hrabosky, in his 41st season as part of the Cardinals TV team, and Ricky Horton will serve as pre- and postgame studio analysts, along with Edmonds and Thompson.  New in 2024, three-time Cardinals Gold Glove Award winner Tom Pagnozzi and former Cardinal Mark Sweeney will join the studio team for pre and postgame analysis.

Bally Sports Midwest will also continue to air new episodes of Cardinals Insider, the Emmy-nominated 30-minute weekly television program hosted by Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith each Sunday, and the weekly Cardinals Kids Show with Fredbird and Brad Thompson on Saturdays.

Bally Sports Midwest’s regular season coverage kicks off on Opening Day, Thursday, March 28, with Cardinals Live pregame beginning at 2:30 PM CT.  Coverage of the home opener at Busch Stadium on Thursday, April 4, will start at 1:30 PM and include the pregame ceremonies and introductions.

Cardinals programming on Bally Sports Midwest also streams on the Bally Sports app and on BallySports.com for fans who connect with their TV provider user ID and password.  Fans can find more information on how to watch Cardinals baseball at cardinals.com/TV.

Currently, 10 regular season games will be carried exclusively on either FOX (6), ESPN (2), or Apple TV+ (2) as part of Major League Baseball’s national television packages.  The television schedule is subject to change.

Radio

In addition to televised game coverage, KMOX 1120 AM, the team’s flagship radio station, and nearly all of the Cardinals Radio Network stations, will carry every regular season game.  Cardinals games will also be simulcast locally on 98.7 FM and stream on KMOX.com.

This year marks KMOX’s 14th consecutive season as the flagship station and 67th year overall.  The Cardinals Radio Network consists of 148 radio stations across eight states.

John Rooney (19th season in St. Louis, 53rd overall) will be accompanied in the booth by Ricky Horton (26th year as a Cardinals broadcaster) for all Cardinals contests this year.  Mike Claiborne returns for his 19th year as part of the radio team to assist with broadcasts while Tom Ackerman, Matt Pauley and Joe Pott will serve as pre- and postgame hosts on KMOX.

Horton and Claiborne will also continue to host Friday Night Live by Loews after every Friday Night home game from The Bullock on the second floor of the Live! by Loews hotel across from Busch Stadium.  The show features live guests, including former Cardinals players, coaches, managers, front office staff and broadcasters, beginning 15 minutes following the final out on KMOX 1120 AM and the Cardinals Radio Network.  The show is open for fans to visit, hang out and listen to the show free of charge.

Spanish Radio

The Cardinals, in cooperation with the team’s flagship Spanish radio station WIJR 880 AM La Tremenda, will once again produce Spanish-language radio broadcasts for all St. Louis home games for the club’s Spanish Radio Network during the 2024 regular season.

Play-by-play announcer Polo Ascencio and World Series champion Bengie Molina return for their ninth season.  All 81 home broadcasts will air locally on WIJR 880 AM, carried on the seven Cardinals Spanish Radio Network affiliates, SiriusXM Radio, and streamed via cardinals.com, the MLB app, and on the La Tremenda 880 app.

Fans can also tune to Secondary Audio Program (SAP) on Bally Sports Midwest or on the Bally Sports app to hear Polo and Bengie’s Spanish-language radio broadcasts on their TV for most home telecasts.
