Redbirds rallies beat Bulls on Wednesday night

MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game homestand with a 9-4 win over the Durham Bulls on Wednesday night at AutoZone Park.

With the Redbirds trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning, first baseman Taylor Motter drilled his second Triple-A home run of the season to tie the game. Memphis went on to score multiple runs in each the second, fourth, fifth and eighth to grab the lead and complete with win.

Eight of the nine Memphis batters recorded base hits in the win while all nine batters reached base safely. Five hitters recorded multi-hit efforts and five starters drove in at least one run. Memphis also took advantage of three Durham errors in the ballgame.

MLB Rehabber Dylan Carlson went 0-for-4 with a walk as the designated hitter in his second game of the current rehab stint with Memphis.

Starting pitcher Dakota Hudson (3-3) earned his first AutoZone Park win of the season. The right-handed pitcher went 5.0 innings, allowed two earned runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out three.

The Redbirds (33-26) return to AutoZone Park on Thursday, June 8 to continue a six-game homestand at 7:05p.m. CDT against the Durham Bulls. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
