The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game series with an 8-3 win over the Nashville Sounds on Saturday afternoon at AutoZone Park.

In wins this season, Memphis has relied on the big inning. The third inning proved to be just what the Redbirds needed to get back to .500 on the season. In the frame, the first six batters all reached and scored.

Third baseman Cesar Prieto brought home the first run of the inning with a bases-loaded single. Two run-scoring walks and a run-scoring wild pitch later, left fielder Jared Young smacked a two-run single to put Memphis up 7-1.

On the day, Prieto went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. In total, three batters reached base safely three times in the game. Designated hitter Luken Baker recorded a season-high three walks on Saturday afternoon.

Right-handed pitcher Sem Robberse was stellar in his third start of the season. Robberse allowed two runs on six hits, walked one and struck out six batters in 4.2 innings pitched. John King (1-0) earned the win in relief.

The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park to conclude a six-game series against the Nashville Sounds (Triple-A, Milwaukee Brewers) on Sunday, April 14 with first pitch for 1:05 p.m. CDT.
