MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds began a six-game road trip with a 4-3 win over the Durham Bulls on Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.

The St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Player of the month of May, Redbird catcher Ivan Herrera, displayed his impact yet again in the victory. With one on and one out in the top of the third, Herrera completed a strike-em-out, throw-em-out double play to end the inning. The catcher then gave Memphis the lead for good with his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot to left-center field in the bottom of the sixth inning.

MLB Rehabber Dylan Carlson appeared in centerfield for Memphis. Carlson reached twice in two plate appearances with a walk and a single before being lifted for a defensive replacement in the top of the sixth inning. First baseman Taylor Motter drove in the other two Memphis runs with a two-out double in the fourth.

Michael McGreevy continued his great Triple-A season with 5.2 innings of two-run ball on Tuesday night. The right-handed pitcher walked two, allowed seven hits and struck out three batters. McGreevy has not allowed more than three earned runs in any Triple-A start this season. Ryan Loutos (2-0) earned the win with 1.1 scoreless innings in relief while Jake Walsh (S, 1) struck out three batters in the ninth for the save.

The Redbirds (32-26) return to AutoZone Park on Wednesday, June 7 to continue a six-game homestand at 7:05p.m. CDT against the Durham Bulls. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
