Cardinals promote RHP Michael McGreevy to Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN – The St. Louis Cardinals have promoted right-handed pitcher Michael McGreevy to Triple-A Memphis from Double-A Springfield.

The former first round pick began the season as the St. Louis Cardinals No. 4 prospect, according to Baseball America. McGreevy is scheduled to make his AutoZone Park debut with Memphis during the May 2-7 homestand, when the 

Redbirds host the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins)

The right-handed pitcher began the season with Double-A Springfield. McGreevy made three starts with the club and posted a 2-0 record with a stellar 1.45 ERA. He was drafted in the first round (18th overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

McGreevy joins an already loaded Memphis rotation that includes top prospects Gordon Graceffo and Matthew Liberatore, and 40-man roster members Connor Thomas and Dakota Hudson.
