MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds extended the longest win streak of the International League season with a walk-off 5-4 win over the Indianapolis on Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.

With Memphis down one in the ninth and one out, first baseman Luken Baker smacked his fifth home run of the season to left field to tie the game. One batter later, centerfielder Oscar Mercado drilled his first home run of the season to walk off Indianapolis for the team’s eighth consecutive win.

Down 4-0 after six, the Redbirds rallied for three runs to pull within striking distance. Memphis did so without recording a hit. Mercado (reached on error), designated hitter Juniel Querecuto (walk) and third baseman Kramer Robertson (sacrifice fly) each drove in a run in the inning. Redbirds batters drew three walks in the frame.

On the mound, Matthew Liberatore tossed 5.2 innings and allowed four runs. The left-handed pitcher struck out six, walked one and allowed eight hits in the no-decision. Ryan Loutos (1-0) earned the win after two scoreless innings in relief and struck out four Indianapolis hitters.

The Redbirds (11-5) return to AutoZone Park on Wednesday, April 19 to take on the Indianapolis Indians at 12:05 p.m. to continue a six-game homestand. Key promotions on the homestand include Irish Heritage Night on Thursday, April 20, Memphis Redbirds Short-Sleeved BP Hoodie Giveaway on Friday, April 21, Wizards and Wands and Bark at the Park on Saturday, April 22 and Take a Chance Day on Sunday, April 23.
