St. Louis CITY SC has signed goalkeeper Michael Creek from the club’s MLS NEXT Pro side St Louis CITY2 to an MLS contract through 2023, with a club option for 2024.
“Michael will add depth and support to our goalkeeping unit, said St. Louis CITY SC Sporting Director, Lutz Pfannenstiel. “We’re excited to have him here with us in the first team.”
Creek appeared in 14 matches and made 13 starts for CITY2 last season, recording three clean sheets and making 29 saves for his hometown team. He joined CITY2 after concluding an impressive collegiate career at Missouri State University (MSU) in which he totaled 149 saves and 27 shutouts over four seasons with the Bears. Creek was named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Goalkeeper of the Year in 2019 and received All-MVC honors in three of his seasons at MSU.
