Saint Louis dropped a 90-81 decision at Massachusetts Wednesday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball action at the Mullins Center.
Saint Louis falls to 9-6 overall and 1-1 in the A-10. Massachusetts improves to 10-4 and 1-1 in the league.
Yuri Collins led SLU with 16 points and added 10 assists for another double-double. Sincere Parker chipped in a career-high 15 points and brought down five rebounds. Jake Forrester and Francis Okoro scored in double figures with 10 points apiece.
Terrence Hargrove Jr., who started in place of Javon Pickett who missed the game due to illness, scored nine points and brought down a team-high seven rebounds.
UMass was led by Noah Fernandes’ 26 points.
The Billikens shot better than 50 percent but allowed the Minutemen to shoot 10-of-21 from 3-point range.
UMass led by 11 at halftime, but consecutive treys by Parker brought the Billikens back to within one of the lead in the second half. However, SLU would get no closer and UMass came away with the victory.
Saint Louis is in action again on Saturday afternoon when it hosts St. Bonaventure at Chaifetz Arena. Game time is 3 p.m. on Bally Sports Midwest.
