Richmond rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to upend Saint Louis 68-66 Friday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball action at the Robins Center.
The Billikens dip to 19-10 overall and 10-6 in the A-10, while Richmond (19-10 overall) pulls even with the Bills in a fifth-place tie in the league standings with a 10-6 record.
Francis Okoro led the Billikens with a career-high 23 points. He added a season-high 14 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season. Fred Thatch Jr. added 15 points for the Billikens.
It was the tale of two halves for SLU. In the first half, the Billikens shot 65.5 percent from the field and led by as many as 12 points late in the frame. However, the second half saw the Bills shot just 26.9 percent and score 23 points as the Spiders rallied for the win on their senior night.
It was the fifth time this season that Saint Louis lost a game when holding a double-digit lead at some point in the contest.
The Billikens return to action Wednesday night when they travel to Kingston, Rhode Island, to take on the Rhode Island Rams at the Ryan Center. Game time is 6 p.m. (CT) on ESPN+.
