Blues Release McGinn; Brouwer Continues Tryout

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has released forward Jamie McGinn from his professional tryout (PTO).  Forward Troy Brouwer will continue his PTO.

McGinn, 31, was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the second round, 36th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.  A native of Fergus, Ontario, McGinn is a veteran of 11 NHL seasons.  Including stints with San Jose, Colorado, Buffalo, Anaheim, Arizona and Florida, he has amassed 220 points (117 goals, 103 assists) and 267 penalty minutes in 617 career regular-season games.
