For the second time this month, Saint Louis junior setter Kennedy Cordia is the Atlantic 10 Conference volleyball’s Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The honor marks the fourth time a Billiken has won the award this season, following Oct. 7-13 for Cordia and twice for teammate Maya Taylor.
Cordia recorded 90 assists (11.25 per set) in Saint Louis’ wins over George Mason and George Washington, leading the Billiken attackers to a .237 hitting percentage.
She also collected a team-high 33 digs (4.12 per set) and five service aces in the two matches, along with three kills.
With her 90 assists over the weekend, Cordia moved into the top five all-time for the Billikens with 2,360 in her career, surpassing Lauren Boissevain.
