Blues Sign Forward Sammy Blais To A One-Year Contract

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has signed forward Sammy Blais (BLAY) to a one-year, one-way contract worth $850,000.

Blais, 23, split last season between the Blues and the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.  The 6’2, 205-pound forward tallied four points (two goals, two assists) in 32 regular-season games with the Blues and 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 26 regular-season games with the Rampage.  Blais also appeared in 15 postseason games with the Blues, recording three points (one goal, two assists) and helping the team capture the 2019 Stanley Cup.

A native of Montmagny, Quebec, Blais was drafted by the Blues in the sixth round, 176th overall, of the 2014 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.
