St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General ManagerDoug Armstrong announced today the Blues have activated forward David Perron from injured reserve (IR). Perron has missed the past 24 games due to an upper-body injury. In addition, Armstrong announced the Blues have assigned forward Jordan Kyrou (KIGH-roo) to the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.
Perron, 30, has dressed in 45 games for the Blues this season, tallying 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists). The 6’0, 200-pound forward, who was signed as a free agent on July 1, 2018, is currently in his third stint with the Blues and 12th National Hockey League (NHL) season overall. A native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Perron has recorded 479 points (192 goals, 287 points) in 767 career regular-season games.
Kyrou, 20, has appeared in 16 games for the Blues this season, collecting one goal and two assists. The 6’0, 175-pound forward has also dressed in 44 games for the Rampage, leading the club with 16 goals and 43 points overall. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Kyrou was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 35th overall, of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
