Saint Louis found themselves down 7-0 against Loyola Marymount entering the sixth inning on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Billikens, however, were able to push across one run in the sixth, one in the seventh and three in the eighth, but their rally ended there. The Lions defeated Saint Louis 7-5.

Jake Garella raised his average to .333 on the season, going 2-5 with one run scored and an RBI.

Corrigan Bartlett went 2-4, scoring two runs and driving in another.

Jackson Wark fell to 0-2 on the season, pitching 1.2 innings allowing only one earned run. He added two strikeouts on the night.

Colin Townsend took over for Wark in the second inning, lasting 2.1 innings and giving up no earned runs. He allowed three hits, one walk and struck out two.

Luke Matheny threw four innings of one run ball in relief of Townsend. He gave up one earned run on two hits, no walks and six strikeouts.

The series wraps up tomorrow afternoon with a 2:00 p.m. (CT) first pitch from Los Angeles. Connor Lehmann takes the ball for the Billikens.
