IndyCar recently revealed their 17-race docket for the 2019 season and announced an upgraded television partnership with NBC as well as a newly-minted series sponsor.
The open-wheeled series will have eight of their races, including the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500, air live nationally on NBC, which is seen locally on KSDK-TV, Channel 5.
The other nine races in the package, which includes the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 on Saturday, August 24 at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois, will be seen on cable via NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).
IndyCar publicly released Tuesday that global information technology and communications leader NTT signed a multi-year agreement to become the IndyCar Series title partner.
2019 marks the first season for NBC Sports Group as the exclusive home of IndyCar.
“This will be the most complete and robust season of IndyCar viewing for our fans,” said Mark Miles, President/CEO of Hulman & Company, which owns both IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “As the exclusive home for IndyCar, NBC Sports will provide fans with more coverage than ever before in 2019.”
The season begins Sunday, March 10 with a street race in St. Petersburg, Florida.
