St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have recalled goaltender Jordan Binnington from the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. In addition, the Blues assigned goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick to the Rampage.
Binnington, 25, has appeared in two games for the Blues this season. The 6’1, 175-pound goaltender has also played in 16 games for the Rampage this season, posting an 11-4-0 record to go along with a 2.08 goals-against average, a .927 save percentage and three shutouts. A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Binnington was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 88th overall, of the 2011 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.
Fitzpatrick, 20, has appeared in two games with the Rampage this season, posting a 1-0-0 record to go along with a 1.80 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. The 6’3, 202-pound goaltender has also dressed in 14 games with the Blues’ ECHL affiliate, the Tulsa Oilers, tallying a 7-4-2 record. A native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Fitzpatrick was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 59th overall, of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
