Blues Activate Maroon; Place Schwartz On IR

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrongannounced today the Blues have activated forward Pat Maroon from injured reserve (IR).  In addition, Armstrong announced the Blues have placed forward Jaden Schwartz on IR with an upper-body injury.

Maroon, 30, has dressed 14 games for the Blues this season, recording seven assists.  The 6’3, 225-pound native of St. Louis signed a one-year contract with the Blues on July 10, 2018.  Overall, Maroon has tallied 185 points (78 goals, 107 assists) and 464 penalty minutes in 389 career National Hockey League (NHL) regular-season games.

Schwartz, 26, has dressed in 15 games for the Blues this season, posting nine points (two goals, seven assists) and eight penalty minutes.  The 5’10, 185-pound forward was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 14th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.  Overall, the Wilcox, Saskatchewan, native has collected 280 points (115 goals, 165 assists) and 107 penalty minutes in 395 career regular-season games.
