The Saint Louis University women’s basketball team has received a bid to compete in the 2018 Women’s National Invitation Tournament. It will be the third consecutive WNIT appearance and fourth overall for the Billikens, who reached the third round in 2016 and the second round a year ago.
SLU’s first-round opponent, game date/time and game site will be announced when the 64-team WNIT bracket is revealed later this evening. WNIT officials estimate that the bracket will be released by 11 p.m. CDT. All WNIT games are played at campus sites. For any game Saint Louis hosts, fans may purchase tickets by calling the Billiken ticket office at (314) 977-4SLU.
Saint Louis is one of five Atlantic 10 Conference teams selected, tying the Big Ten Conference for most in the field. Joining the Billikens are Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason and Saint Joseph’s.
